Midland, Texas — On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, residents of Midland will head to the polls to cast their votes in two significant City Council races. Eligible voters within the city limits will select representatives for the at-large (city-wide) seat and the District 1 seat, which generally covers north Midland.
Councilman John Norman of District 2, encompassing generally south and east Midland, will retain his position as he is running unopposed.
Polling stations across Midland County will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters can choose to cast their ballots at any of the 21 designated voting centers:

Robust Early Voting Turnout
According to the Midland County Elections Office, early voting saw a strong turnout with 46,311 ballots cast, including 1,022 mail-in ballots. This number slightly surpasses the early voting turnout of 46,139 in the 2020 election.
