City of Fort Stockton Now Accepting Applications for Advisory Boards

Fort Stockton, TX – The City of Fort Stockton is encouraging civic-minded residents to apply for several open positions on key advisory boards. The Fort Stockton City Council is currently accepting applications for appointments to multiple city boards. These boards serve vital roles in shaping the direction of local policy and improving the overall quality of life in the city.


Among the boards seeking new members are:


  • Animal Control Advisory Board

  • Cemetery Advisory Board

  • Fort Stockton Economic Development Corporation

  • Historical Landmark Commission

  • Housing Authority Board

  • Intergovernmental Recreation Board

  • Keep Historic Fort Stockton Beautiful Board

  • Planning & Zoning Commission

  • Substandard Building Committee

  • Tourism Advisory Board


Those interested in applying can pick up applications at Fort Stockton City Hall, located at 121 West Second Street, or request an application via phone by calling (432) 336-8525, Ext. 115, or by emailing City Secretary Marina A. Cantu at nicantu@cityfs.net.


Applications must be submitted by Monday, September 18, 2024, before 5:00 p.m.
